Reminderville incorporated as a village in 1955, with Clement Reminder as its first mayor, and became a city after the 2020 Census counted 5,412 residents. Glenwood Boulevard, its main street, was rebuilt with a roundabout, and a 2000 annexation out to Liberty Road made room for Summit Metro Parks' Liberty Park, which the park district calls its largest natural area at 3,000 acres.
