Working in Peninsula

The village calls itself a gateway to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the Cuyahoga River runs through the middle of it. The National Park Service says Hermon Bronson established Peninsula in 1824, and that the Peninsula Depot on Mill Street, a boarding stop for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, is the only original train station left in the valley.

The village looks after over 11.92 miles of roads, with leaf pickup each fall and brush pickup from May to October. The median Peninsula home was built in 1952. If your crews work in Peninsula, Stow and the towns around the valley, your Google profile can list them by name.

Permits and contractor registration in Peninsula

The village's permit forms say building permits are issued by the Stow Building Department. The village issues the zoning permit itself through its zoning office, and where a septic system is involved, the Summit County Health Department approves its location first. Fiscal/Zoning Office: 330-657-2714. Stow Building and Engineering: 330-689-2729.

Rules change, so check with the village before you start. Checked October 2026.

Questions from Peninsula businesses

Can my Google profile cover Stow and Hudson too?

If you can get to jobs there, yes. I set one service area of about 10 to 15 miles that you can actually cover, and list the towns in it by name.

Can my website have a page for Peninsula?

Yes, if Peninsula is in your service area. On the 15- and 30-page plans, the towns you serve get their own pages, each written for that town.

Do I have to change the software I use now?

No. Keep it, and use it alongside the system.

Do contractors have to register to work in Peninsula?

The village's permit forms say building permits are issued by Stow's Building Department, so check Stow's rules with it. The village issues the zoning permit itself.
